5 STEPS TO SETTLEMENT

We’re here to get you through the process!

Once you have a signed and ratified contract, you can contact Accomack Title & Settlement to start the settlement process.

1. If you will be using a lender, you can now notify them that we are your settlement agent.

2. Next step is the Title Search. We will make sure the title can transfer to the new owner.

3. The underwriting process begins to send necessary documents to the lender.

4. Once your lender clears everything to close, we will set a closing date and time.

5. Finally, CLOSING DAY! Meet with Accomack Title & Settlement to sign all documents and YOU’RE DONE!

(If you have a cash closing, some steps may not apply)

What to bring to closing?

• Picture ID

• Necessary funds

  • Amounts $3000 and over will be wired funds

  • Amounts under $3000 can be paid with a cashiers check
